Available on consignment, this AMG Viella comes with the 12″ tonearm and wood (cherry) skirt. Condition is 8/10 — please refer to the photos for cosmetic details. Original box included, no accessories, and no AMG record clamp are included; we can source the clamp separately at an additional cost.
The Viella is AMG’s core model and the one that put the brand on the map — a high-mass, belt-driven design built around a 24-lb aircraft-grade aluminum platter running on a hydrodynamic lubricated bearing, driven by an acoustically decoupled brushless 24V DC motor with an outboard power supply. The 12″ dual-pivot tonearm uses a spring-steel vertical bearing in place of a conventional gimbal, a design unique to AMG. The wood skirt on this example is the optional cherry finish.

AMG (Analog Manufaktur Germany) was founded in 2011 in Bavaria by Werner Röschlau and his son Julian Lorenzi, whose family factory had spent decades manufacturing precision parts for the turntable and aerospace industries. The company made its international debut at CES 2012 with the Viella V12, which drew immediate attention from the audio press and earned placement in Stereophile's Recommended Components. Audio Element carries AMG as a signature brand and can demonstrate current models at the Pasadena showroom.
